Thanks everyone. The kind words mean more than I can say. I'm extremely thankful, because in any other line of work I'd risk being fired for missing so much time.

Definitely. I think I'd be a bit happier knowing what it is, but they seem fairly confident that the worst it will be is a permanent inconvenience.

Thanks buddy. best wished to your father and the rest of your family.

This is the new fixture plate for the blades. it had to be reworked a little to allow the blades to be milled with a larger tool without running into the spine of the adjacent blades.

I can also (now that the blade blanks are cut out on waterjet) skip the bandsaw and fixture tab hole drilling steps -- the latter of which was one of the things that may have messed with the perpendicularity of the pivot holes. This set should have a tighter tolerance all around.

What I'm most looking forward to is milling the final profile of the blades. Before, I had to use a roughing end mill to slot the profile out of rectangular stock. It chewed up and endmill every 10 blades and was not agreeing with the rigidity of my mill when the tool got to the end of its life.

If this goes well it will make it much easier to start a constant production cycle.

I went to the future and bought the heat anodized handles, then repeated to get all four.
