We had quite a storm by San Diego standards last week, so a day off plus the sun got me out of the house.

I hit my usual spot at the beach.

Looks like someone mined the shore.

One of the problems of living at sea level is the drainage when it rains. This is one of the pumping stations to prevent flooding. You can see they brought in a back up pump for the storm. The tall stack is the exhaust and intake.

Excellent pictures, The older houses there are fantastic and the alleyways all look so clean. People that live there seem very proud of their surroundings, it looks like a very relaxing place to live.

The Kid got back last night with a mild sun burn.
She called Judy when she landed to tell her that is was warm , sunny and she was looking at palm trees.
    How's that for heartless ?
They stayed in " Little Italy " ? Italian town ?
    Something like that.
I picked her up last night from the airport and go a few details , but she loved it.
To the point that before she left , she was checking out the want ads to see what jobs were to be had and if they paid enough to live there.:bwah:
Seeing your pics really make me wish I was there instead of here.
    Thanks for sharing.

great pics as always Tiny. I really need to get out more.

Little Italy is a nice neighborhood just near our downtown, Tubtar. a couple of my favorite restaurants are around those parts. The Waterfront has great burgers and beer. i am still in search of the ever elusive peanut butter burger
    there. It sounds so healthy.

I make business trips to San Diego twice a year, spring and fall. I always stay in Old Town, at the Hacienda, so I tend to eat there. However, Little Italy is a good place to grab a bite of dinner.
