great movie... good taste there G3... this was the directorial debut of an extremely good American director Terence Malick... the entire film world stood up and recognized a new talent with this film... Malick, who, just a while later, up and 'disappeared' from the film scene... until he returned with "The Thin Red Line"... his return was so exciting... all those A-list actors signed on script unseen for the most part... hard to find a film with as many stars in it as Terence's return film... and it was a masterpiece...

that is possibly the best role Martin Sheen ever played...

    Charlie Starkweather and Carol Fugate...

i have been listening to the 'Nebraska' cd lately... cool you mentioned this one...
" i saw her standin'... on her front lawn... just twirlin'... her baton... me and her went... for a ride sir... and 10 in... nocent people died..." fucking classic...

    Link...

you might try... 'Run Lola Run' i liked it, this is a very good film... and it brought us Franka Potente... i really like her in film...

    a Link...

it's possibly obscure... but was very celebrated that year... good film... i own the german one with the english subtitles... thats the link... there are other versions..

though 'run ronnie run' was from an HBO show... the title was obviously trying to play off the 'lola' movie...

My very thoughts as I read ILK's post.
Is there a man amongst us who hasn't taken three empty Miller ponys , placed them on three fingers of the same hand and clacked them together while hollering in a shrill voice " Come out to PLAYEEEEEAAAAAA " ?
    I hope not !
Both were good flicks for me.
