I liked Head, I used to have the soundtrack to that one. I would love to find "Hero at Large" with John Ritter, cheesy but I enjoyed it when I was a kid and would like to show it to my kids.

Philippe Setbon's 'Mr Frost'.... this is a very good 'obscure' movie... very obscure i suppose... never released on DVD anyway...

one of the two best roles Jeff Goldblum ever did...

    a Link...
because this one is worth seeking out of you like films...

    no one has mentioned...

Takashi Miike's 'Audition'... this is the movie that made him international... like mr frost this film is just plain old disturbing... a Link...
like the Amazon reviewer suggests... if you really want the full effect of this film don't read any reviews and let this thing kinda... 'wash over you' while you have no expectations...

Takashi Miike's 'Visitor Q'... good grief... frankly i'm disappointed in myself for bringing this one up... it's that twisted... Link...
    :spin:

    Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers.
A comedy that thinks its a horror film.
You can see one of the grips w/ a bucket of fake blood in some of the shots tossing it onto the naked stripper w/ the chainsaw.

If you can find it, check out "Woman in the Dunes." Weird Japanese psychological drama. A man kidnaps a woman and stashes her in a pit near his village. She ends up falling in love with him, and the people of the village come and watch them have sex.:madaddy:

Nicolas Roeg's "The Man Who Fell to Earth'... bowie is the coolest... this is really something... obscure... as per usual... another movie given the 'Criterion' treatment... that company is the best thing that has happened for movies since the first moving pictures... Link

    Marie you might check out...

Kaneto Shindô's 'Onibaba'... Japanese story... i really like this one... i watch it once a year at least... a Link...

Masaki Kobayashi's 'Kwaidan'... early color... only a master like Kobayashi could get that kind of funding and backing... this is a classic... but obscure... a Link...

This one took some digging through my collection....... The Grey Fox.
Richard Farnsworth as an aging outlaw who gets out of the joint and heads to Canada to rob trains.
There is one scene in particular....he and his accomplice Shorty have stolen some horses and are herding them through the mountains along some railroad right of way.
Of course , the train comes along.............but the scene.
Beautiful mountains , a steam locomotive and some terrified horses.
    Amazing shot.
    Fucking blew me away.
This is the " art " of film right here.
Well shot , well acted and a decent story.
