    What's a good newish release?

(and NO porn suggestions.... I'm talkin about good movie that's Rated no higher than R :signhere:)

I rented 10,000 B.C. with Jennifer the other night and wasnt too impressed, to be honest.

We also picked up In the Valley of Elah and that movie was very good I thought. Tommy Lee Jones is stellar in almost anything.

Have you seen 'Seabiscuit"... not new but if you like horse racing it's got some good shots.

If you have a library near you, check out their selection of DVD's or tapes. With all the TV reruns going on, I plan on starting on the movies beginning with "A" and working my way down to the "Z"'s.

If you like over the top action then Shoot Em Up is alright.

If you like over top action and want to go to the theaters, watch Wanted.

If you're in the mood for a good "slasher/torture" film, I highly reccomend "Carver"

I watched it myself for the first time yesterday, and I gotta tell ya'...it ain't bad!!!! It's a low budget film, but the money they saved by using unknown actors, they put into the special effects. A few of which were new, and fairly realistic.
I give it 3 1/2 chainsaws up out of 5! :bwah:

Probably a day late to the prom here, but........... I have EXCELLENT tastes, so you should be listening to me......:onoesdevil:

Juno is great, along the same lines (movie type) Orange County, Garden State are all great movies....

Danny Deckchair is a great ind. flick (Romantic Comedy)

Action/Comedy - Hot fuzz, or anything by those guys

Horror - 30 Days of Night is pretty good and way above the frey of today's mindless crap that is "horror" flicks....

Yeah... the God's Must Be Crazy is some really weird funny shit. There have been a lot of good choices on here. These are all more recent, however...

Action - The latest Rambo was pretty good.
Comedy - Mad Money was good.
Drama/Comedy - Bucket List was good.
Kids??? Comedy - Shrek III actually turned out to be pretty funny.

Bucket List FTW. I got lucky, they showed it as the in-flight movie when I was heading home from Nicaragua. Good movie.
