been lusting on RMJ's stuff, but can't afford and hate wait times so I decided to make my own. All forged from one solid piece no welding or cutting, started out as a 2.5" wide by 3/8" thick by 9ish" long piece of new leaf spring drop from the spring shop.

Damn that is nice. Too bad I already have an RMJ on order... but there is always room for another hawk at the McGyver house. I have a dozen already... let me know when you go into production.

I can grasp fullering out the shaft/handle to the final thickness & width but not the rest. How did you form the face & spike? Did you split the end or upset it?

    Regardless, it is terrific.

    thanks guys!

Variant, it was upset, no splitting which would weaken it.

    Macgyver, will do!

want to try some handle slabs on these too......
