Someone was trying to sell this to me but I wasn't sure what it was. It somewhat looks like a benchmade 30.

But what makes weary is that it says "made in usa" nothing else. Other side is the butterfly

So anyone have any ideas what this is?

    Thanks all

should I be worried that it doesn't say "benchmande usa" and instead "made in usa" so no mention of benchmade?

Looks like someone butchered the edge sharpening it.

    Real enough though.

Genuine. It is easy to straighten out the crappy sharpening job--just expect some slight blade loss.

Looks like somebody used a belt sander on it. Which is OK....If you know what your doing. If you don't, you'll eat up your knife. Just sayin' :jdsmokin:

    IT IS a BM30,
BUT an earlier one before the official name change? IIRC
Referred to as the "Hollywood" era.

I believe Silkworm mentioned that about mine when I was showing it off.
If you do a search you may find the link.

Here's three pics of my two BM35's (deluxe hidden pin handled version of yours),
and one of them says "Made in USA".
