Anyone wear an Apron in their shop? I'm thinking it would be quite handy and save my clothes and house from the metal dust as well as all the other crap.

Seems like they would be heavy. Winter time it would have some benefits.

Much like in cooking, an apron would help keep your clothes clean. However, unlike cooking, you'll have a lot of machines that would love nothing more than to drag you kicking and screaming into their clutches.

So, there are pluses and minuses.... :cheesydevil:

That said, a lot of woodworkers wear aprons. It just takes a bit of additional care.

    Leather apron
works pretty good for keeping you from burning holes in your shirts (don't ask how i know)
you will find the same problem i did .. buying one is very difficult to find a Real Leather one.. have 3 from welding supply places (they suck)
because they shed Turmeric yellow flakes for months.

FWIW, I almost always wore an apron when I was working in the "legit" shop in school; they had full size coal forged, full size anvils, and like every power tool you can imagine. Now that I'm gonna be running solo with next to no tools, it might be an on again off again venture.
