I figured it was time to start one of these. I'll try to keep my feet out of any pictures.

Finally spent a little bit of time in the shop trying to make some progress on knife stuff.

This was started so long ago. Here are some pictures. Put the scales on yesterday. Today did some sanding and shaping. Tomorrow it will hopefully be finished and on to the sheath.

My goal is to get this and other things laying around the shop actually finished. But, at this rate.....I will get at least TWO knives done this year.

First, are ya trying to show up Jason? Or, do you need some new shoes too? :bwah:

Secondly, you better hurry up then, it's already the 5th and you've only got 361 days left! You're lucky... you got an extra day this Leap Year, so get jumping! :cheesydevil:

I don't think so... only ONE shoe shot in the whole bunch, and it's so out of focus, I can barely tell it's brown! :bwah:

Looking good Sean. What's that handle material? I don't know what it is, but I like it.

    Lets see it!

I found a few half done purchased blanks in the shop this weekend. I'll be trying to finish them up as well. They are from years ago.

If I can find it, I will, but it was more than 15 years ago and it is an abomination. And I didnt even grind the blade and I f'ed it up.

Found a few blanks that I put scales on that were never finished. Weird, masking tape didnt want to come off after being on there for years. I'm calling it good on this one. Guess i do need a sheath though.

To bad at that point I didnt know about stabilized scales or much about materials at all. These were unstabilized redwood. Soft and porous. Perfect for a fillet knife right Haha.

I'm no leather worker, but made progress on a sheath for the filet knife.
