How did I miss this thread? There's some very nice work here! I make Kydex holsters and sheaths. A customer actually recommended this forum to me so I signed up. Here's the sheath I made for his Hinderer Hellfire (with a Tek-Lok).

I started working with Kydex years ago because there were so many great knives out there with crappy carry systems. I like to be able to have my babies with me so my husband and I started desiging carry systems. We officially started Primal Options about a year ago. Comfort and functionality are of the utmost importance. What good is having a great blade if you can't take it with you?

Paddle sheath for a folder, can be carried horizontally or vertically.

I do sheaths and holsters here in southern Il. I've got some that I make that are just general sheaths for several sizes of knives and I do custom work as I have time. Northwest and Sheridan style carving and general stamp work.

I occasionally make leather sheaths but haven't done anything in a few years. Just ordered some new leather and dyes, so looking to get back into the hobby. I have usually done my take on a pouch sheath. If I can find some pics of past work, I will post. If anyone is interested in having a sheath made, let me know and we can connect. This is simply a hobby for me so I only ask for a few bucks for materials.

I'm a sheath maker from a little agriculture community in Northern Illinois. Started making sheaths 30 odd years ago with an Al Stohlman book. Started making thermal plastic sheath a few years back. My development as a sheath maker has been in relative isolation. I've never been to a knife show, and just started receiving Knives Illustrated and Blade Magazine a few years ago. So if it seems like I just fell off the turnip truck, it's cause I did.

Look forward to sharing some ideas with fellow sheath makers. Thanks for having me JD.
