Looks like a Nikon D3X with 105mm f2.8 macro. Very likely tripod mounted with studio hotlights

    Have you seen his camera?

If not, then you are not actually suggesting you can see what make of camera and lens combination he's using, are you??

Camera and lens are in the EXIF data.

I guessed at the tripod and lighting since that is how I would do it.

Clearly it is I who knows little here.

    Nevermind me.

So how do you get that data from an image?

It is a plugin for your browser (EXIF Viewer). Gives you exposure information and technical details

WOW, I can't believe we are discussing this here but yea, that's about right. I work with a few body and a few lens to get the shots I want. I have lots of other bodies and lens that I no longer use because I upgraded a lot! Here is what I'm currently working with:

    Bodies:
    Nikon D3X
    Nikon D3S
    Nikon D800

    Lens
    Nikon 105 Macro
    Nikon 70-200 VRII 2.8
    Nikon TC20E III Teleconverter
    Nkion 28-300 Zoom
    Nikon 70-200 F4
    Nikon 50mm G

Yes, I do have two Fancier LED 500 Watt Studio Lighting System plus much more. Yes, I do have a Induro C413 8X Carbon Fiber Tripod with INDURO BHD2 Ballhead.
So yes it was a great guess. Since this is a picture thread, here are some pictures.

When I grow up I'll have a transfusion, a BMW and good photography skills.
For now I'll just play with my woody in my Toyota and take crappy pics

    Family shot

I certainly don't have the fanciest Martins in the bunch, but I certainly love my collection!
