Really gorgeous ! Mike I chickened out when I made my last dream build and used a 5.56 1-7 barrel as I just did not want another hard to find caliber in a fighting tool. I had a 6.8 for a couple years and sold it last winter as the ammo became more expensive and harder to find. I have been stocking up on 855 green tip PMC lately when I can get it for less than $450 a thousand :devilzeek as I like to hold at least 3-5K of factory ball in reserve for future unpleasantries

I know what you mean and I have several in 5.56, but the 300BO is the way to go.
It's as quiet as a Hk MP5SD and packs a punch at yardage.

It takes a lot these days, but will admit that I'm impressed. Nice work by all involved. :devilfinger:

A friend of mine got one of these, but he lives in Oregon!:devilroll:

I own property there but have not yet got a drivers license as I live in CA, for now!
A .300 blackout upper would be nice to have.. as long as I have a 5.56 if things get rough....
The pistol length makes sense to me on .300 as with a suppressor it is not too long and it doesn't take much length to get those torpedoes up to 1100 fps.

Is there any advantage the 556 has over the 300 blackout?

The only one I can come up with is that the ammo is "easier" to get.

As in grab some from the- er, opressor :madaddy: when you can't legally buy any more. Course then again with a press and some dies you can cut down all the old 5.56 casings and neck up for pulled .30 cal boolits I guess. Uppers are easy to change, think I'll stash the Noveske .300 upper I linked to in Oregon in case I move there and can apply for a can .

sure if you have back up iron sights for you 300blk why not have a back up 556 upper in case ammo gets short bang 2 pins and bolt and go cant
    beat that.
