Thank you all for continued support it means a lot indeed.

In the end I could care not how much of my ear they lop off as long as there is no cancer to invade my head/neck again.

Velcro may come at a premium to help hold my sunglasses on down the road. :ross:

The 30th could not come fast enough as this area of invaded skin on my upper ear is producing severe earaches, DR seems it could be sitting on a nerve path and only until removal will I find out if it's a resolve to the pain levels present now. I've got a high tolerance, but living with a 9 of 10 pain level is no fun , morphine is hardly touching it. :pissedevil:

I also feel compelled to dropping a note to the other folks fighting cancer on this Forum, a few that have steered away from this thread.

I don't blame you, here I sit clearing that 5th golden year of remission from my original DX, to hit the 6th year only to find out the beast is back. This must be scary for you folks to read.

But please know, this is viewed as a "new" cancer, not a recurrence.

If you've beat "your" beast chances are you will not face what I'm up against, please stay positive and strong.

Marvin 01, David, thank you for the most kind words I think of you and your battle daily and hope for the very best of outcome. As usual I'm a phone call or message away .

To all else thanks for the continued well wishes.

Well, have a new update to share.

When speaking with the Cancer dermatologist MOES surgeon, he had expressed concern for my Psoriasis, a condition I live with for many, many years.

While in his office he had his staff make a appt with a general dermatologist to follow up with in the int-rum of the ear surgery pending the 30th.

I had a meeting with this new skin DR today. In evaluating me stem to stern, he found 5 other spots on my skin that look "suspect" for more of the same evil squamous cell carcinoma , tiny spots.

I walked out of his office today having 5 more skin biopsys . :ropeman:

Pathology due back in a few days, and if positive for cancer the "first" MOES surgeon will be addressing them as well post ear surgery.

Wish I had better news to share, but seems like I have a slew of treatments ahead. :pissedevil:

Not everyday is a good day. We all go through pain, sorrow, and fear. Embrace every second of your life. You grow, learn, and become stronger.

Right now Glenn my friend you are just having to go through some tuff patches, but this is just a phase and will pass. “Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.” Victor Hugo

Life is full of trials. Each day there are obstacles some simply will be more daunting then others, but with inner strength all can be overcome. Trials are like FIRE; it can destroy or strengthen you, depending on your character and outlook in life. REMEMBER! The fire that melts butter, is the same fire that hardens steel.

As Nietzsche said, "That which does not kill us makes us stronger". You WILL get through this, you WILL be a stronger person and a much more wiser person. You ARE going to outlive all of us bastards and you my friend will have the last LAUGH.

You are in my thoughts Glenn and I wish you the best pal.

Hi all. I want to thank everyone for the continued kind words and thoughts.

    Update 5/24/13

Pathology is back, out of the 5 biopsy's 2 came back positive for squamous cell carcinoma, one spot on each arm.

The 30th I have the MOES procedure on my ear, follow up MOES surgery will be scheduled for additional locations found to be positive with Cancer.

Here's the BIG issue. The spot on my ear was hiding in psoriasis tissue it appeared to be just "more dry skin" to me until the earache flare that brought me back to my DR's for the PET/CT. This patch on my ear was there a good 7 months non- diagnosed. The PET/CT didn't show the Current active cancer on my ear, or arms for that matter.

7 months is a eternity when it comes to squamous cell carcinoma as it's one of the swiftest moving Cancers.

This brings me back to that PET/CT scan. It did show "uptake" in my right lung but was written as congestion and I was sent for a flat X-Ray , that showed nothing, so what was that uptake about ?

No one can answer me, as the scans are not definitive in a answer other then showing somethings going on.

I have a appt June 3rd with a pulmonary specialist to look into what that "uptake" was on the PET/CT . Chances are they will have to scope me down into lung, to visualize whats really going on.

Ahead: 3 MOES procedures to isolate Cancer local, and a visit to the lung DR to see if I have any internal involvement that needs to be addressed.

Thanks Martin, no one should have to know about Cancer .:pissedevil:

By end of day yesterday I had MOES procedure 2 & 3 booked into available surgery time slots . The 11th, and the 17th.

When the DR does my ear surgery on the 30th, he will advise if he can do the two spots on my arms the same surgery date of the 11th.

May 30th could not come soon enough to get the show on the road.
