Currently, I have been flipping both a 43 & 42 T-latch in my lineup. The 43 is more balanced no doubt. However, it's the weehawk that still captures a unique aesthetic, AND it's also a profile that when made double edged produces a wicked knife. Although not for dedicated flippers, it is a mean knife that operates perfectly as a bali-song.

I have heard this thing about balance a couple times, nardath said something about it once in one of his videos. Is there really a discernable difference between the 42 & 43 flipping wise?

Awesome pics by the way, I'm not a big ano guy but that 42a is a beaut...

There's certainly a real difference. It's not large but it's there. All the top flippers have their own balance and feel. It won't make you a better flipper, the same way switching from a Rep to AB won't make you a better flipper.

Here's a pics of the blade thicknesses, the 42 is on the left and 43 right.

I ended up with a 43 but originally I always lusted after a 42 because I've always loved the weehawks' aesthetic appeal. My tastes have shifted in favor of the bowie but I still want a 42 and still to this day have never had one in hand but I know I have to have both so I can see and feel the subtle differences myself.

One day, at least I have the harder to find one out of the way.

Here's a shot of the difference between the older 440C and newer 154CM blades on the 43. BM43 small.JPG

Very subtle difference but the 154cm gets the nod for slightly better looking grind & swedge..... I love the way they look, the coolest looking bowie blade. The 43 and XM-18 bowies are my fav....

It is my favorite balisong as well, one of the only ones I kept when I took a break from the hobby.. I sanded PB washers to a perfect fit and she flips great.

IMG_20170322_180617.jpg I figured I would contribute my 43 T latch, probably not the greatest pic sorry for the huge MB pic but I'm not too savvy with a camera yet and didn't reduce the file size enough...

I ground a double edge yesterday on one of my 42's, now it is as it should be. Turned out pretty good, although the overall profile is much thicker on the top.
