Any tips on aluminum maintenance? I just bought a squid with some dings in it and want to know how to clean it up and get rid of the dings for anodizing

Does anyone know off hand the bushing size, washer size and pivot size on an Alpha Beast 3.0 and an Alpha Beast 1.0?

If you want cheap Titanium, 90% of the time, you're going to get scrap material that is bent/warped and could even be random thickness in the same piece. Or have so many scratches that you'll waste most of it trying to get down to good workable material.

If you want to build a piece of shit knife, just buy one. There are more than enough of them out there...

And what do you consider "cheap" or "cheaper".
    Cheaper than what?

    1 X 1-ft. piece of sod, $120

    • 2 X 2-ft. piece of sod, $280

    • Assorted patches of sod between home plate and the pitchers mound, $6,000

    • “Authentic sod” from the Yankees logo behind home plate, $50,000

So anything under $120 is cheaper than dirt.

    You're welcome

Anyone got experience taking apart a Squid trainer? I unscrewed the pivot screws and I'm left with the pivots just sitting there too stubborn to be knocked out, and I'm afraid to break the thing. Any ideas?

I figured it out! I put the screws in half way so they were sticking out, then knocked them against a hard surface and they backed out the pivots. Hopefully that helps anyone with sticky pivots

I haven't had personal experience with the 87, but I have a maxace and the AB. If I had to choose I would take the AB every time.

Even if you change your mind after you buy one, any of those three are fairly easy to liquidate without losing a ton of money. Just remember that the AB has been tried and true for about 5years. The other two are kind of fad knives. I'm sure the 87 will be benchmade quality as always and I have been happy with the maxace, but I have many Alpha Beasts for a reason.
