Yeah, I've picked up a couple 42's on craigslist and stuff south of $300. Cheapest I got one was $175 if I remember right. Had some blade damage but for $175 I can live with it. :bwah:

Are there any flippers who own the BB dedicated flipper? Kinda wondering because it would we strange for a flipper to not own the dedicated flipper but rather collectors

I'm sorry, it's just...well welcome to the club...I learned long ago, no matter the name, intent, design..whatever. If it's rare, it's going to be expensive, and that leads to being a collector...so as I've said before, it should be called the Dedicated Collector

I consider myself a flipper. I own one. Doesn't mean I have to throw it around in the backyard.:jdwink2:

I flip it from time to time....but it isn't a "user".

Nope, I don't flip mine. I let other people who are better flippers do that duty for me.

Hypothetically speaking what would happen if I was caught with a balisong in California? I mostly bring them over to my friends' house and I think I'm starting to get them interested in balisong collecting and flipping.

I go to my sister's house all the time and always bring my balisongs with me.

I use a small lock box to put them in and then in a backpack and put in the back of the SUV to transport.

You don't want to get caught with balis in accessible locations in the car.

I am just being very careful, but my friends just carry them in their pockets all the time too. But they've not been caught yet.

If the cop likes you he'll tell you to put it away and get out of here.

If the cop doesn't like you he could confiscated it and tell you if you want it back to plead your case with the district attorney's office.

If you're in possession of one while committing a crime...... we'll, let's just say it will add complications.

How likely would it be for you to cut a tendon or other essential part for finger/hand movement? I flip with tape because I don't want to risk losing a finger or disabling a finger so I could no longer flip using that finger. I value my hands too much

How are we suppose to answer that question? Yes, if you flip a live blade the odds of you getting cut is greater than if you flip a taped blade. Beyond that, I don't know if anybody can give you specific "likelyhood".

    ***Flip a trainer:thumbsup:

I guess it depends how sharp you keep your knife and how comfortable you are with the knife. Then you have to add in how prone you are to one-off fuck ups.

I think you can use the knife a bit to get it to the point where it's not razor sharp and your odds of permanent damage will decrease dramatically.
