I may be a bit partial, because you were my very first custom bali.......and folder.....and well chefs knife.....and mini bali.... anyways

It might be your amazing craftsmanship and skills that you seem to put into every single kick ass build

Or it might be your amazing service after the sale, the interactions, the friendships

Either way, when I wanna drop some serious dough on a blade.......there aint but one dude I trust doin it with

So thank you for supporting our habits lol

    my rant

    Jason your knives are awesome.

    Popularity is a bitch.

    I prefer handmade things myself.

Two things to remember when it comes to your work or someone elses work(i need to follow this advice myself):

Vincent Van Gogh was not commercially successful, and his suicide at 37 came after years of mental illness, depression and poverty. Today, Van Gogh's works are among the world's most expensive paintings to have ever sold, and his legacy is honoured by a museum in his name.

    and

On the cheesy side of things ;)
“In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so.”

Nothing wrong w/ CNC, but a knife made by hand, with the attention to detail that few have, w/ options that I want are what its all about. CNC blades w/o hand finishing are a joke imo.

No, you didnt come off that way, I just get pissed about the "i designed x in a cnc machine crowd" but have no real actual mechanical skills. I started out w/ J. Neilson making knives in a forge and still have the most respect for those guys. But stock removal is still a VERY difficult skill when done right, and the fact that some of these cnc wonders have fanbois is fucking stupid when compared to your skill set and others as well. The amount of time put into a Hellcat vs a ryworx is a joke.

Hammer recently brought this beater 3.0 premium back to life for me. The aesthetics turned out great but the fresh hardware, bushings, and tune make this knife feel new again.

I had the option to take more meat out of the handles but declined because I wanted to retain as much of the original weight balance as I could. There is something important to be said about more rounded handles but I like the square-ish blind reference for what plane the knife is rotating on. (Reminds me of feeling the flat side of a channel balisong for reference without looking) Some may argue the thin AB flips better for the weight difference but I think that comes down to preference. Most of my intuition comes from flipping a handle heavy knife so I didn't want to go any further to neutral than it already was. The slight chamfer on the heads and tails removed damage from drops on less than ideal surfaces. Some day I aspire to own a mirror polish blade but it wasn't in the budget for this resto-mod. I settled for a 'medium polish' which did bring some well deserved shine to the knife.
