Yeesh, my bad. Yeah, a bit close to home with the Esteban Carpio thing.

No, I'm from the southern half though.

Parker, excellent argument. I'm with you brother. I read another argument recently that speculated that the whole secret black list thing could be challenged with the due process clause. It's nice to know that however unwieldy it may be, at the very least the supreme court stands as a last line of defense against things like this.

Who knows, if this kicks up enough dust maybe there will be some congresional oversight.

I fly a lot and sometimes I get waived right through and sometimes they give me more scrutiny. The only time that I really thought the inspection strange was when I was traveling with my old dog Sparky from L.A. to Toulouse and when I delivered the kennel to the freight office the dog got a much closer going over than I ever got. As far as I am concerned, thinking that security is some dark evil thing is like thinking that fluoridation of the drinking water was a Communist plot originated in Moscow to weaken the Capitalistic fiber of America.

if you don't have any problems with TSA "pat-downs"
you had better start explaining to your children that government employees are allowed to touch their private parts whenever they want.
it will make the whole thing a lot less dramatic.

    the terrorists won.

    an 81% victory.

or maybe that was already the percentage of
americans who were ignorant of their rights.

I will not concede victory that easily , but we definitely lost.
    The winners ?
    The real winners ?
Those appointed / annointed to top level jobs at TSA for starters.
Those who own the companies who's bidness is founded on fear , real or imagined , did O.K. for themselves too.
Let's not forget the kids who's mantra of " less government " has been ringing just a bit on the hollow side lately...........who's notion of our rights gets a bit exclusive when differentiation time comes around...........who will do what's good for them because it is either good for us in their eyes , or they flat don't give a shit because the votes have already been counted.
And before you dare to align that last group with either party , I will step up and say that they all suck a wheel barrow full of dicks.
It is clearly their nation and we are simply in the way until they bullshit us into voting for them again......once the ballot drops , you / we/ I cease to matter.
    Yes............they won too.
The terrorists are , in my opinion , sitting back in wonder and incredulity at our weakness and stupidity...........pondering how to exploit this flaw in our national character.
But the game is still on and the outcome is still up in the air.
I will not give odds how ever.
    Too close to call.

Quit all your complaining! Haven't you ever heard the jingle...

    'Take the bus...
and leave the driving to us!'

I don't think Greyhound does 'pat downs', yet.

I have a hard time believing anyone was gonna take the chance on patting down, tubtar! :bwah:

This whole thing will end up making the transition to the ID card easy. People will say give me the card so I don't have to be touched and have my rights taken from me. Then everything about you including your tracking devise will be joyfuly set up for you and then this policy will go away.

Just like granny death squads, distract, get people all worked up, then herd them where you want them.

Ya know, I've been paying attention to all this T.S.A. Stuff.
I have come to the conclusion that if some T.S.A. Agent needs to fondle my junk to make sure not 1 more American gets killed...

    So. Be. It.

    Here ya go, feel away...

No sweat offa my sack. I know they hate it as much as we do.

They're just doing thier job, no matter how messed up it is...

You'll drag yer ass down to the Docs office for a Colonoscopy to make sure you're gonna live another year, but you won't let a T.S.A Agent grab yer sack for National Security?

    Tell me how that's fair...:deadevil:

but what if they feel up your 5 year old little girl? or your wife? or your sister who was raped in the past? How traumatic do you think that would be for them?

I never get tired of saying, FUCK TSA

they are NOT making us safer

these TSA douchebags can do more of a thorough search on a citizen than a cop can do on a felon

all in the name of "national security" :mabuse:

At SHOT 2009, I know a person who flew to Vegas with 7rnds of .45acp in their coat pocket and they didn't realize it until they arrived at their destination.
That would be metal detectors..the who security checkpoint at their home departure.
