I can't decide between the purchase of my long lost Model 68 I bought in high school or the new Flytanium V4 scales coming very soon. I have a 51 I'm very happy with but am liking the idea of titanium scales for better performance but my long lost knife from high school/college has popped up for sale. Not a very collectible model but I wished I still had it. Looking for opinions, 51 scales or Model 68? If the 51 scales sell too fast, the 68 will obviously win.

Not one of these threads again... :devilroll:

I don't think we can really answer that for you. Especially since you haven't stated exactly what information you're looking for. Are you wondering which one will flip better?

Here's one thing to point out. Would you rather have one balisong or two?:unintroduced:

Can only afford one. Wife, 3 kids... Christmas... Both ain't happening and both won't be available long. I'm leaning towards the 68 to replace my beloved 68 but reality tells my the titanium 51 will be a better knife. Arghhhh... Decisions like this suck.

I meant would you rather have a plain 51 AND a 68 or just a FlyTi 51? I think I would lean towards the former. FlyTi scales will still probably be around next year.

Thank you! One more is better! Titanium scale will be easier to find than another Model 68!

Sell either the wife or the kids, you will then have enough funds to buy both ....simples

    Update

Advice of one more convinced me. I purchased the Model 68. Flytanium will be offering more V4 scales next month but this 68 most likely wouldn't be around. Now I got to find my original cocoon sheath. I know it's some where. My original 68 was lost at Franklin College south of Indianapolis in 1987 and wished I had it back ever since. If anyone has a lead on the small original cocoon sheath to fit let me know in case I can't find it.
