I wonder if yours are the same size as Hatty's.

When I spoke to Matt about them he mentioned that the Bolo was hard to do on a smaller scale.

IDK what his measure out to but these one's are 10 5/8". Being that I have larger hands I actually like the size. Their absolutely magnificent to look at and admire in hand!

Ok on a more serious note This is a Kukri
    [IMG]

This is what i think of when i think Bolo
    [IMG]

The kukri has so much negative cant the blade has a section that angles down. The bolo has the belly toward the tip and a tapered waist but doesn't have that negative cant like the kukri. It still has a negative blade angle to chop more efficiently but not like the kukri

The elmax is 10 3/8", so those bolos are a 1/4" bigger.

So a few days ago I mentioned that another well known builder was going to be getting into the balisong game and I wasn't lying. Without further ado, please welcome to the stage Mr. Paul Panak of Burns knives! Paul is most known for his world class auto's such as these:

Paul contacted me yesterday to let me know that his Prototype #1 was on it's way to me. I received it today and figured I'd share a few pics with you fine fellows:) For his first balisong I think he did pretty damn good! The knife has a killer blade grind, is perfect size for EDC, is built like a tank, and to be honest with you guys, it feels like a Rolex version of a 29 Knives..... Paul did not build this one as a flipper, but it is fairly well balanced and has glass like movement! Paul did however express to me that in the near future he would be working on a balisong for flipping:) Anyways, here's a few pics of balisong number 1 from Paul Panak, enjoy!

Personally I am really looking forward to seeing the evolution of this man's balisong designs!

Very exciting, that look fantastic. I've been an admirer of Burn knives for a while. I cant wait to see what else he comes up with.
