In the summer of 2012 my house was robbed and among the jewelry and electronics taken was a number of pieces from my knife collection. Luckily for me, the dimwits didn't know what they were looking at and stole only large combat and fighting knives leaving behind all the damascus and ivory, etc. Not so lucky was the loss of two vintage BM balis and a stag-handled Trail Master that likely can never be replaced.

Anyhow, I didn't have anything to show the police or to help with any sort of insurance claim so basically I burned. A few months ago, I sat down with a white paper backdrop and photographed each piece for future reference.

These are not the most exciting photos but since it is the entire collection I thought I'd share. Here they are in alphabetical(ish) order:

Thanks guys! This collection has been many years in the making although there was a considerable addition the past year as I was restoring those stolen (and then some).

These photographs were for insurance records. I also try to get "artsy" photos of my knives as well. I can post those as well.

Wow they are beautiful! Sorry to hear about the theft, definitely sucks that you had some hard to replace knives stolen(plus all the money invested in them) I bet if that thief looked up any of the knives he didn't take after the robbery he would of been like like crap im an idiot i left tons of expensive knives there. Great he was unaware though! Again superb collection!

Nice collection. Loosing knives to theft sucks, happened to me about 3 years ago. I now have a 650lb safe bolted to the floor.

Do not see many plain edge Civilian. That is one of my favorite of the knives you posted.

About 15 years ago I was a knife dealer and my supplier happened to mention one day that he had a bunch of these plain-edged Civilians collecting dust in the warehouse. I bought them all and sold 'em all off within a week but kept the last one for myself.

    Better pic:

... and those are the photos I've taken up until now.

Eventually, I intend to photograph the entire collection as a "good" photo but I have difficulty coming up with a different background each time.
