This forum was the primary driver of the market for a long time. I’d say at least 2011/2012-2016/2017. When all these small time makers started making production replicant competition the reddit/ig/fb scene splintered this forum by diluting the social aspect and the actual secondary knife market.

We suddenly had younger folks jumping in the scene with no bills to pay with their part time job wage and were able to spend 550 for a 42 and 950 for an AA. Then at the same time BRS started flooding the market with knives that had lower QC than initially, which gave way for all these random replicant alternatives (price point competition). It made the market confusing.

Once upon a time people had patience and would wait until a quality knife came up for a fair price, be it used or a new drop. The only good company to come out of all of this was the squid trainers imo.

There was an influx of buyers to the Bali market (2016-2018) that drove up the prices and allowed more knives to be produced and released. That fad is now gone and those people no longer care so we are left with the aftermath.

tl;dr people started paying top dollar for mediocre quality and the prices got jacked so high that no one thought anything was worth it.
    Thoughts?

That works on the secondary posts. Have a real thought or get some dinner.

Oooh. Pretty colors. No decline. Just have to find the right people that aren't going through an alum phase.
