Did you guys Forget the A.B was the best For the Price then (sub $400) price.
BRS had Zero $$ to put into Refining any part of it.
that alone is why it looks like it does (Bark on blade/handles)
seeing them go for Thousands of dollars makes a proof about the Rarity of how many made equates to price i guess..
just my Opinion which can of course be Different from others...

i should have phrased my comment differently

the dirty dozen is awesome for all these reasons

it was early and led to something amazing

i was just making a point about how times have changed

i WOULD pay $3,800 to own that amazing piece of history known as the dirty dozen

the roughness and fit are beautiful

The interest in Bali's has been dropping off for awhile now. The secondary sellers market is not as hot as it was. BM 4x series has dropped in price.

Sorry man. I thought I did. I replied and asked if the background was suppose to be a red silhouette of Japan. Possible that I didn't hit the reply button (I was at work and shit happens LOL).

***Offer to sell that basilisk and I'll reply for sure hahahaha

Yes, great price at the time. But like you stated, they had zero $$$ to put into refining it...and it shows. Just because it is going for thousands of dollars now doesn't mean it is a great built balisong. It is a collector piece and goes for what the market dictates.

But if you put price aside and strictly look at the quality of the AB Dirty Dozen vs AB 3.0....the 3.0 is simply a better balisong in every way

***The earlier AB's had to be modded to make them better (you of all people know that:super:)

No worries brother. The silhouette is of the Philippines. As far as the basilisk goes, I guess you wore me down. $10,000.00, fees and shipping on you and it's yours. Don't forget, it comes with an extra set of scales I did on the cnc myself and... wait for it... a KNIFE POUCH! You'll be very happy with it. :) LOL

10K - That's me keeping up with the current Bali market prices these days.

    let me explain

Barrie described Tinker Bell as a fairy who mended pots and kettles, an actual tinker of the fairy folk.

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinker_Bell

Tinker Bell is mending the post

    It does make sense.
