Big Range weekend. Long range memorial shoot. I'll post more about it when it's over. Great weather today, but it's going to be rough tomorrow.

2019 Matt Karstetter Memorial Field Match was this last weekend. Has been very successful and its impressive to see its growth every year.

The JD has some amazing things that it does. Group events, knives for troops and just helping out other devils. This shoot has significant meaning to me and I'll support it no matter where I happen to be. Matt fell out of a tower during a job in Idaho many years ago. His wife was pregnant at the time. His best friend hosts this shoot every year and the funds go in an account for his kids. Anyhow...

There were targets anywhere from 300-1300ish yards. There were movers, a spinner and various obstacles. Saturday's weather was terrible. Rain and 25-30 mph winds. Thankfully Sunday was much better, but still windy. Heres some picture.

Just got into shooting in January and all ranges in MD are closed (at least any near me are) :/ had just started taking lessons too.

Dry fire w/ a laser cartridge is all I got in the foreseeable future.

I shoot in my backyard. I have been waiting on my mount for my scope, so I finally put it together.

    I’ll zero it tomorrow.

I set up my indoor range for the www.lasrapp.com LASR (Laser Activated Shot Reporter) and NLT (Next Level Training) SIRT (Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger) in the basement. I just practiced shooting either hand, behind a barrier, two handed shooting, magazine changes.

Here is a video of how this works.

Well I’m off to shoot in the backyard range before it starts to rain again. It’s just with my Ruger 10/22 with 16.5” Tactical Advantage Barrel, Magpul Hunter Stock, T&J Tactical Suppressor, Kidd 1 Stage Trigger Kidd Internals with Burris PEPR Cantilever Mount and Athlon Optics, Talos BTR, Riflescope, 4-14 x 44 First Focal Plane (FFP) 30mm Tube, Illuminated APLR2 MIL Reticle.

I went to zero my rifle today on my range.

I installed a new rail yesterday.

I acquired an EGW 20 MOA rail for my Ruger 10/22 with 16.5” Tactical Advantage Barrel, Magpul Hunter Stock, T&J Tactical Suppressor, Kidd 1 Stage Trigger Kidd Internals with Burris PEPR Cantilever Mount and Athlon Optics, Talos BTR, Riflescope, 4-14 x 44 First Focal Plane (FFP) 30mm Tube, Illuminated APLR2 MIL Reticle.

The smaller group is 5 shots and the larger group is 10 shots, at 25 yards, Aguila Super Extra 22 LR.

It’s as capable at 50 yards but I did that after work to zero and test it.

    Thank you very much!

I know my whole mount, rail, high cheek rest, and scope saga was overkill, but I bought all of it online. So I wasn’t going to return it.

It is just as capable at 50 yards, too.

I had gotten home from work, packed my UTV, set up my table, put up a target and started to working. I realized I forgot my lead sled.

I decided to shoot prone so I set up my mat.

I was going to try for 50 yards but I also had to take it all down and pick up brass. I decided to do 50 for another day.

Well, I tested my Ruger 10/22 at 50 yards, and it’s accuracy is the same as at 25 yards.

I know the margin of error will now increase when I try 100 yards tomorrow.

Once dialed in, I’m going to try out my Savage 22LR at 100 yards, too.

Just got out to the range the other day to shoot my G45. Surprisingly business is starting to pick up; for a while there, it was a ghost town (with reason of course). Any other Glock owners out there who have tried out the G45? I'de like to get your thoughts on if you liked it
