I made this folding dagger for a dagger challenge on the Australian Blade Forum late last year. The was the first dagger I have ever ground and really enjoyed the challenge of doing this one. There was the design challenge of getting the dagger to fold without exposing the top sharp edge as well the challenge of my first dagger grind.

For the design I really wanted to keep the clean lines of the art knives I have seen pictures of and that was one of the reasons I went for the hidden pivot as well. I also really wanted to try out the thumb tab opening mechanism after seeing it on Gareth Bull's knives and also on a Burger Knives that I now own.

    The specs are:
    Blade - CPM S35VN
Liners - Anodised and jeweled Titanium
    Bolsters - Superconductor
Handle - Lightning Strike Carbon Fibre
    Overall - 185mm
    Closed - 105mm

I also put up a video on how the dagger folder opens and closes. I decided to ramble on a bit about a few others things I learnt whilst making it and some of the reasons I went for that design. I hope you enjoy watching it.
