    Not all black coatings are created equal. Those could be powdercoated or something else instead of DLC.

    my kahr pm9 DLC's finish is unscathed. I carry it almost everyday and have 800 or so rounds through it.

    no holster wear marks at all

    slide release/stay lever is the most worn looking dlc part on my kahr and its barely evident.

    i must say if i were to be so blessed to have a HOM in dlc it probably wouldn't get flipped so much. it would get lightly handled and cherished and passed down to one of my sons.

    I agree I dropped my ti black 42 a few times and hate how it looks with the black coming off so the durability isn't that great. I think that's how I found out it wasn't DLC coated. I think DLC has more of a protection then powder coating that Benchmade uses. You could probably chip it off very easily.
