When I was a lad we used to go out in the countryside, and have adventures and days out. (basically a bunch of kids 'exploring' and spending days in the summer in the fields, woods and streams in the local area!)

In those days we often had 'sheath knives' , Gat guns and catapults and all sorts of non pc stuff!

Anyway I wanted to make a knife this size and shape as it reminded me of those 'sheath knives' from my youth. So this was the 'test piece' made with a piece of Damasteel I had in stock. Since then I've made a few more for people who also had a 'misspent youth'!

Blade is Damasteel dense twist with a light etch, 5 1/2 inches-140mm with a flat grind and 25deg secondary and overall it's 8 1/8 inches-260mm long.
The handle scales are buffalo horn with a hint of white streaking and white and black liners. They are secured with Devcon 2 ton epoxy and stainless corby rivets.
The sheath is 4mm veg tan leather handmade by me.
    Thanks for looking.
