    That is beautiful.

The stark contrast is what really makes it.

One beautiful blade, and I actually don't like Damascus blades as I don't trust um as users.

But that is one amazing blade for sure !.

I really hate hearing comments like this. It comes from a place of inexperience with a true piece of damascus. All I can tell you is you get what you pay for when it comes down to it. Damascus performs beautifully as a user as long as you don't buy junk in the first place.

*ETA: Beautiful knife Mr. Humphrey!

    agreed

I know Lon would only make a GREAT and real blade.

But at my age I am now fixed on the dislike and DISTRUST of Damascus as a user.

I just don't see me taking the care that is needed to maintain such a piece of artwork.

Pardon my ignorance if it bothers you.

let an old man be stubborn !.

    Yes !!

I met you and can attest to that fact !!.

the bestest part about a man that is making REAL steel = being stubborn about what he believes is correct.

I like that about Mike Stewart too !.

    this knife...and Lon...

Met both Lon and his very nice damascus knife today; not just a pretty knife but it looks and feels like it is a using knife - a hard using knife.

Lon - although I haven't sold anything at the show yet (the ever eternal optimist) I forgot to ask...how much?

    Regards,

    Tim
