This may or may not help. Most people actually have difficulty with the initial throw out.

If you are talking about "step wha" you have the option of going over the thumb like I do in the vid... or if you find it easier you can also go under your thumb (kinda like an "8-ball" type of move).

Honestly, the cherry picker is an extremly tough move to get good and consistent with. It took me a long time to get it. Just keep practicing.

Scoop or rock your wrist outward and point your index finger giving it the motion, momentum, and the area to do the rollover. Keep your elbow in too. Hope that helps if it makes sense.

i find i have to do a double barrel on the bite handle before starting the flip. Granted i just learned how to do it the other night. Its not to hard to pick up on if you already know behind the eight ball.

advice that helped me is to not move the knife, but move your fingers so that the knife stays in the same area if you know what im talkin about. most of it just comes from practice tho

    Hi there,

    Inventor of the CP here.

In order to effectively set yourself up for the scoop with the index finger, you must first learn how to start the trick. Instead of throwing the handle out, just drop it. Drop the handle straight towards the ground and use your wrist to crank it around your middle finger. As you grab the handle with your index finger & middle finger for the scoop, this is where you really put the power in to it. If you're ending the trick right there, you're hear a successful clack! of the handles, signifying proper technique.

Lol...I did this and that's the first time it went smooth as fuck. Then I go for the second attempt to make sure I could really do it...ow, it turned into a retarded looking helix aerial and got myself right on the finger tip. I'm tired anyway.:ross:

I've watched this thing soooo many times  Love it
I got the cherry picker down, but only after countless hours of practicing the same move over and over and over...
