Gracie says hello :) She's sniffing the screen right now as I read this thread.

I REALLY wanna get sappy, but I won't. Just know that there is a lot of love coming from this quarter to all the Devilz that are fighting the battle against The Crab. Here's hoping that soon we'll all be celebrating with leg crackers and melted butter!

Gary, this is news to me :ssad:

I hope and pray you make a speedy recovery and your last sessions go fast!! It disturbs my faith somewhat that someone like you has to go threw such bullshit! Starting with Clyde, then the hearing and now this. Stay strong and keep a positive outlook. This will be just another memory a couple years down the road.

When this world has me down with all the shitty fucked up people around I remind myself of the good in this world and you'll often pop up in my thoughts with your kindness, generosity and friendship that you offer out freely. Thank you!

Yep... ever since that day I had to put Clyde down in 2007, it seems like things were just... 'slip, sliding away.' But don't let my problems shake your faith, I was never... 'promised a rose garden.' Thank you for your kind words, Jason.

Don't you dare go getting all sappy on me, Cadi! I cry to easy and then when I fall asleep my eyelids stick together and Casper licks them open in the morning! :bwah: God, do I hate that! :ross:

Prayers are always welcome, Iceman. Thank you. [IMG]

Well can I cry at least ?
Just passed the anniversary of losing my younger Bro Dave to leukemia and I have blurred the details to the point that I can't even remember how many years it has been.
    Around ten.
It is so fucking hard for me to reply to these threads , but I am so glad that you and Marie and Jules and everyone else who has gone rounds with the big casino can share.
Because reading your words tells me you're still alive and are fighting.
I will always bet on the human when it comes to fighting that shit filled soulless son of a faggots cunt we know as cancer.
I do hear more and more stories of whooping it's ass and this is encouraging.
But I hate cancer with a passion uglier than the disease itself.
And I love you guys for being fighters.
Keep ducking and swing when you get the chance man.
I look forward to when we will cross paths again.

I know it wasn't asked for but here's a photo of my 'goofy' feet with the big toe toenail discoloration and blisters... just one of the possible side effects of chemo. Every person is different and not everyone gets to have 'goofy' feet! :ross: My left foot is a bit more 'puffy' then the right.

Oh man....sorry you have to go through this man... :( Looks like your career as a foot model is over....

Hope everybody knows that was a joke...

Of course we know... really. it's Gary... I don't think he ever was a foot model. :manganr:

Well, more sessions but less chemo... Hope that means you can handle them a little better, with less side effects. Although you are handling this like a pro. Damn you're a tough one! And I'm with Mike on this, thank you for sharing this with us AND letting us help you through. :kat:

Latest update... finally getting back on track with the chemo. Had the first of the next 12 sessions yesterday (lower dose and spaced 1 week apart rather than 2 weeks apart). After I swallowed 3 Dexamethasone, 1 Benadryl and 1 Zantac tablets (to combat a possible allergic reaction to the next drug), the IV drip of the chemo drug Taxotere was started. Luckily I had no allergic reaction to the Taxotere and was able to doze a bit for the next 1 1/2 hours. A woman a few chairs away was not so lucky. She experienced a reaction to the drug and her face turned bright red and she needed some oxygen. After a bit, she was fine and continued with her treatment.

Some of the after effects of the treatment may include: nausea, joint & muscle aches, fatigue, mouth soreness and the ever popular diarrhea and constipation! I haven't experienced any of those yet but from past experience, the effects don't start until 2-3 days after the treatment. And I was told the hardening, splitting and peeling on my fingers could continue...

Today I was full of energy and even wore a pair of shoes over my blistered but healing feet and walked Casper around the neighborhood! :ssmile:

After the treatment my sister & I drove back to her place for a lunch of grilled cheese and tomato sandwichs, jello and a large glass of cherry Gatorade and a little later a dinner of a bowl of shrimp, corn chowder, 1/2 an english muffin with some jam, some leftover rotissere chicken, a large glass of apple juice and then a bit of chocolate pudding! :ssmile:

Thanks guys... the prayers must be working! [IMG] I have to admit, I can think back years to having the 'flu' and feeling worse than I have with chemotherapy effects. You meet some real strong people at the cancer clinics and everyone is interested in how each other is doing.
