They open and close and are made of Alder. I hope they keep out street noise cause I slept in the house the night the windows were delivered just to make sure they did not get stolen. And I got to listen to Kipling Parkway all night long.

    Bricks are here.

Plumbing is roughed in hvac is 70% and the shingles are on the roof.
Still hoping to be in by Christmas.

Here is a nice story of Government helpfulness.
My Water Company took a $5000 deposit before I could start the new water line and meter pit. Then I had to buy all the parts from them.
They had to inspect the new line and meter. Yay done and done.
I ask them for my deposit back and they reply " we do not refund the deposit until you install your landscaping.:unintroduced: You must have the specified amount of Mulch in your top soil or we fine you accordingly. Mulch in your top soil will save water over time"

FUCK ME RUNNING. You hook up the water first and do the landscaping last. What bureaucrat bean counter came up with this bullshit?:devilfinger::devilfinger::devilfinger::devilfinger::devilfinger:

The same cocksucker who greased us for 5K on a civic grant for neighborhood home improvement.
They match up to 5 G's , , but I had to use their contractor.
The work was just a bit better than shoddy.
A couple years later , we want to re-fi because interest fell through the floor.
It would cut the term in half and save us a ton over the length of it.
We can , but we have to pay back their grant because you cannot sell the home for five years.
    Understand..........we were not moving.
First time in my life I ever had to pay 5000.00 to save money.
If the neighborhood group ever comes up with another scheme like this , I am going to tell them to blow me for 20.00 and save us both a lot of aggravation.

    Electricity

Needs to be hooked up for reals, not just the temp power. Problem is there is a tree between the pole and my meter mast.
A couple of those trees on the left.:devilroll:

Lectric Company says pole to pole tree's are their problem. Pole to house is my problem. The tree has my neighbors electric line, phone line & CATV running through it. So it needs to be removed very carefully.
    Enter "Pole Saw":madaddy:

Then I would have had to rip that tree out by the roots.
Honestly I wanted to bury it but my contractor said between the short length of the run (Under the driveway) and the mild winters we have in Lakewood CO its not worth it.
I've lived here 24 years and NEVER lost power for more than a couple hours during a microburst.

    Got A CO

That is a Certificate of Occupancy . Not done yet and cant post pics
Cause I dropped my phone (precious) in the basement while taking pictures and it bounced then fell into the dry well that takes the foundation water. Well its not dry right now. and its a long way down to my Droid. Under a foot of water, I got it out but its FUCKED.
    Fuck Me
Just one more thing in this long drawn out process.

Don't even ask about the Bond for landscaping.
