There's a race crew around here called "kritical" and they have a few 400 hp k20's that will smash on alot of cars nowhere near their league.

one that kept up with a 600 in the 1/8th @ irwindale

How the fuck do you get insured on cars that have this amount of cranking done to them?

I've got a clean license, full no claims bonus and i'm driving around in a 120 hp Audi, insurance is about $450 fully comp with a $400 excess.

Where i'm from it's the young scumbag kids that drive the suped up import cars. Usually with at least one oversized exhaust that you could get your leg up if you so wished.

I don't have anything against people putting time and money into their cars but these scum fucks that drive around with their cars belting out eurodance music at 4.00am need shooting.

lol, we have them here too but they are called Mexican's and they play clown music not trance... Ohh and for some reason their tires stick out past the cars body

I'll tell ya how:

They pick up a civic for 1,500

Get the insurance and smog done on the stock motor

Buy a $2,500.00 engine to swap, $1,000.00 for a turbo kit

Nobody is the wiser.. (insurance wise) They think you have a 1.6 liter economy car and the insurance is ridiculously cheap.

all the while you have a decently fast car for the little money you spent.

The down side:

they pull you over and pop your hood, you're not driving that home ha ha.

most people I know keep the original engine in case they need a re-smog or they get it done crooked.

I don't favor imports over american muscle but If it's fast, it's respectable.
