    I always grind my blades hardened, but I haven't yet tried 110v

    I grind cpm154, carpenter xhp, 3v and the new carpenter powdered bg-42 in a hardened state with no problems so far

    I got some updates though........

    Cleaning up the edges with the map arm and small wheel...1 " in this case.


    Got all the holes drilled and tapped for the scales and other holes chamfered. Center line marked for edge.



    Setting the edge on a few.......


    Got one rough ground.

    Ha Ha. You know the 35vn taps very nicely, the 110v......not so much. I used a plain ole high carbon 6-32 tap on all four of the 35vn blades. But I bet I went through a combination of at least 6 hss and cobalt taps on the 110v blades. At least that's behind me and that's over with.
