What you do is get a nest box.

Pretty soon you'll have some of these.
11th May.

In about a week you get these.
17th May

A week later.
24th May.

Another week later, almost time to go. Good grief they grow quick.
Mother bird is in and out of the nest every couple of minutes, she has a lot of hungry mouths to feed.
30th May.

Three days later.

They've all flown the nest safe and sound, no pics of them leaving I'm afraid.
This is the fifth year I've done these pics and I never seem to catch them leaving.

Imagine if a human baby was out the door in less than a month.

Pretty birds. We could use some of those where I live. Getting tired of looking at those flying rats -sparrows- all the time.

Nice thread Mark. We don't get the Blue Tits here but I have Bushtits as frequent visitors to my bird feeder. I will have to get my own pics up soon since I have the Stellar Jay, Red Winged Blackbird, Bullocks Oriole, Grosbeak, and Golden Finches on a memory card.
