I hate creepy crawlies.(period) I don't mind vermin, snakes and such but bugs for fucking get it. I make everyone but me kill'em. It's a wierd thing I mean I get just paralyzed with fright and it is totally emabarrasing. My sister lives in a suburb of Tampa and has for 30+ years, she told me on the phone last night they are getting an influx of snakes now. Big snakes too. She called someone from the county about a smaller snake in her driveway and a county worker came out, stepped out of his truck and it bit him in the ankle when he was screwing around with it. Didn't penetrate his leather boot but it was a small rattelsnake about 16" or so. Nope hate fuggin bugs. But don't mind the snakes etc.etc. keepem sharp

A lot of the 'big snakes' down here are actually not native to the US. Assholes go to the pet store and buy a Burmese python, or a Nile monitor, thinking it's cute or pretty. Then when the snake is 10' long and eating rabbits, it's not so cute or easy to care for anymore. So they take it out to some dark back road and release it. They've got a stable breeding population going, and orders are to kill them on sight because they're such a danger to the indigenous wildlife.

I had kept a lot of reptiles from small to large (croc monitors) and had a couple of Emperor scorpions, walking stick insects etc but I hate grasshoppers!! I think because my older brother used to throw them at me when I was a kid. They stick like glue! To this day I will not ride my Honda dirtbike thru a field when it is grasshopper season here usually Aug. Those fuckers start coming up outta the weeds like popcorn. I reverse the machine and run away! Then the ones stuck to my engine all fried and crispy I have to pry off with a stick. eww! I still have nightmares about the time me and my ex-boyfriend drove by a field in a jeep with the top off when a plane came down low and sprayed the field. The black cloud of grasshoppers that came out of there were of biblical proportions. I almost went into a coma!
May the bridges I burn light the way!

Supposed to be harmless the 2 long proboscis are used to lay their eggs in a live host larvae living in a tree trunk. The darn things are really in there ( I know, I grabbed them with my fingers and try pulling them out) I didn't want to hurt the little somanbich, so stopped trying. I wonder if someone were to fall asleep outside and one of this guys decides that your noggin looks like a tree trunk. Imagine the friggin headache!
