45 ACP Suggestions (Other than 1911s)

Sorry for whoring up the forum here today guys, don't know what's with me.

Now that I'm reloading 45ACP I'm looking to get another 45 other than a 1911
    as I have one already.

Any suggestions? Here's some of my considerations:

M&P45/45c - Has a great rep, very affordable. I'm on the fence about its looks (yes, as a mall ninja this matters to me).

XDM/XD45 - I've heard nothing but great things, but dang, it is so freakin' FUGLY! I don't think I can get over that, but you can try to convince me.

Sig220/Carry - I'd get this, but only at used prices, too much new. Don't see too many of them. Also, 10 round mags are over $40 for it!

Any other suggestions? Comments on above candidates?

Primary uses, range time, steel match, maybe IPSC USPSA comps.

    Thanks for your help.

Cant go wrong with a FNP 45 there nice and a little different, but if you really want to get off the map CZ 97 B is a direction to go, I dare somebody to tell me CZ dose not make a quality firearm. Check em out man i think anybody who really looks at one would be surprised.
A plan is really nothing more than a list of things that dont happen.

If I was going to buy a .45 other than a 1911 it would be a Glock.

    Hmmm

    Revolvers:

    Colt or S&W Model 1917
    S&W Model 25 or 325

    Pistols

H&K USP 45 full size or compact
    FNP .45
Glock full sized or Model 30SF

But I have to ask - why not a 1911?

I'm extremely impressed by the XD myself. It has a very natural aim and is very accurate.

I had a compass, but without a map, it's just a cool toy to show you where oceans and ice are.

I have one and like it. I compare it to being like my Glock. It shoots well and is a work horse but not a thing of beauty,

The CZ97 will not shoot hollow points. There are not many 45's that will shoot wad cutters other than a quality 1911. Beware of the CZ97 if you plan on shooting hollow points. I checked with CZ and they said that the 97 was not designed to shoot hollow points.

The FN, H&K and the Glock are all nice choices.
