    Just another snake pic

Here is a rather pissy guy I came across the other day. The best I can figure he is a Diamond Back Water Snake. His diamonds are not terribly distinct, but he does not match any of the other water snakes. He flattens his head when threatened to make him seem more menacing. When he is raised up it starts to look Cobraesque. When he's down like this he looks like a viper.

Non-poisonous but a really nasty disposition.

The bucket he is in is about 10" deep and 12"-14" across. He totals about 3 1/2 feet.

You gonna do a "survivorman" and grill that sucker up
Texas snakes and nasty disposition is pretty much a given too.

    Cool Cool snake!

I'd like a belt in size 34 and a pair of suspenders please. :coolkid:

Man, you need St. Patrick to come over to your place and drive all those snakes out.

Looks like what we used to call a Bull Snake when I lived in AZ. We used to catch them all the time and let them go on my grandfather's farm. Did wonders for the rodent population.

I'm working on the Canals in New Orleans. We saw this one today at the pump station. later today, we saw another one about 8' long under the strainer. There is NO WAY for a gator of that size to get in there, as it is made up of iron grating, so I can only guess that it got in there years ago, being plenty to eat there, and made it it's home. The one truely remarkable thing about it was when I saw it flip over to dive down, on it's belly, I could have sworn I saw the words "Hissatsu is a Shit-Bag" written in Century Gothic font. Or it may have been the light reflecting off the water.............

Took this one the other day. Coiled he was only about 12" across. Once he uncoiled he was about 3 to 3 1/2 feet long. I tried to get him to raise up for me, but no cooperation. I could not even get him to show any tail until he finally decided to leave. Unfortunately he left too quickly to get a shot of his tail.
