Difference in New Bravo-1 SS steals?

    Bravo-1 CPM3V

    Bravo-1 CPMS35VN

I already have my eye on another Bravo-1 in the new stainless steals Mike has planned.

What are the differences/Pro-Cons to each steal? I am sure both are excellent. Will the be priced differently and is there a projected production date. I've checked the production schedule and saw them listed.

    Thanks. Can't wait!

    CPM3V is NOT Stainless Steel.

It is a Super Tool Steel - Not a Stainless Steel.

CPMS35VN is one of the toughest Stainless Steels and it is the one of the Toughest of the New Super Steels.

It is almost as Tough as CPM154 and Tougher then CPMS30V.

It holds an edge as long as CPMS30V without the Chipping Problems that S30V seems to have.

CPM3V Tool Steel is Tougher than any of the Stainless Steels but will hold it's edge as long as CPM154 but not as long as CPMS35VN.

So how does CPM3V compare to A2?

Is CPM154 significantly different/stronger than CPMS35VN? Thinking of getting an SS B-1, and want the best SS if I'm going to pull the trigger. This may motivate me just to get an existing CPM154 B-1.

3V is tougher that A-2 and holds an edge longer - it does take more time to re-sharpen.

CPM154 is tougher than S30V. It is about the same as A-2 to sharpen but holds it's edge longer then A-2 but not Longer than S30v or S35VN.

Cpm154 is rated a Little Tougher than S35VN but not by Much. In my Experience they are about the same in Toughness.
