I had tinnitus after eye surgery - it gradually ended after 3 years. I think exercise and vitamin E helped ... the noise is completely gone now.
How long has it been? Is there any improvement over time?

Wouldn't that just turns his ears gay??
Glenn, maybe you could try some form of meditation, it helps drown out the stresses of life and the world around us, maybe it would help "train" you to drown out the noise. Couldn't hurt to try, and even though it's a physical problem your brain could be taught to ignore it with the right type of training.
It's been used to ignore pain, might help for noise too. Just a thought.
The only stupid question is the one that goes unasked - You all know what EDC means, what you should ask is "What is EDP?"
I found out a while ago my ringing was Meniere's Disease. This effects the inner ear and my LOW frequency hearing is gone, the opposite of hearing damage from loud noises, (I worked on B-52's back in the day). Some days are good and some days are terrible. One thing I found out is to avoid salt as this retains the fluid in the inner ear. Any how I hope yours gets better.. GEEZER

One of my customers was looking at some white noise generators because she has tinnitis, but apparently her doctor told her that soft string music would help more. Give it a shot.
Liberty and justice for some; it is the new American dream. God bless America.
Get better, soon, Glenn.
Glad I found this support group. I've had a ringing in my ears since the first of the year. No idea how it started. I haven't been shooting for a while and I use ear protection when I do. I don't crank music but do have a 4 year old with a wicked set of lungs.
I'm trying to find a specialist as I doubt my general doc can do anyting other than look inside. It is annoying and I find it easier to fall asleep with some music at a low volume.
I hope you get some relief soon, this sucks.
