    Elson Neck Knife

I got this Eric Elson Mini DashOne yesterday. It's a nice knife, sharp and pointy. It came with an OD lanyard and ball chain cover, I swapped the lanyard out with a black one that I just made. I really like the fact that the sheath is as minimal as possible. I was going to order a neck knife from another maker, but the sheath for his knife is huge, two pieces of kydex held together with 6 rivets. Anyway, order from Eric while you can, his stuff is really nice (check out the Defiant on his site: http://www.elsonknives.com/) and he is not well known at this time, so the prices are reasonable and the wait times very short.

I can attest to the shapness of the knife's point. I had a sheathing mishap yesterday, I had blood running down my hand, I was catching it in my other hand. I was actually standing over the sink, getting blood everywhere, but thinking about taking a pic to share with y'all. Common sense, however, won out and I decided not to get any more blood on the carpet and on my digital camera, so no pic for you. Here's the knife, though:

As I was clicking the link, I was thinking, I don't get all the interest in neckers. But, damn, I get it, now. That's what a necker should be, imho. Very slick.

The Mini cost me $105 + shipping, I think the full-size one is about $125. AFAIK, EDC Knives still has the Micro Mini and Full Size in stock. I got to Duane before he could put the Mini up for sale.
