Talking What kind of edged tool would you like to see?

I have a wish list in the back of my mind....Every time I think of something I would like to see I file it away......

One item from the top secret files I would like to see is a
    MUK friction folder..

anyone else have any thoughts on a new tool idea?....share...

And JM, if there are any future secret projects you can talk about...I would love to hear about them!

I thought we would start off slow with a friction....

But that is the ultimate end. Ill up the ante....Ti scale and Framelock...lanyard hole and optional thumbstuds or Spyderhole.

    spies!!

I think I have a mole! Who's been feeding you guys info?

How about we meet halfway? Here's what's in the secret squirrel section of the shop...a new necker design with a recurve blade and hollow grind... first proto ht tx today. Already see some changes I'm gonna make, though.
    And...
I've got a beefy linerlock on the bench but it's pretty much just profiled out right now. I don't really have all the tools I should, but I'm going for it.
The proto is gonna be pretty plain to see if I can do the basic mechanical stuff.
If it works, I'm gonna carry it a while and see if it holds up, then..on with the show!! Maybe do a few linerlocks first and then invest in some tools before stepping up to framelocks.
And just for good measure, may throw a couple of friction folders in, too. especially if the linerlocks kick my ass!!

The pics are of the batch that got ht tx today(including the necker),
some other normal stuff and a teaser of the folder..Let the fun begin!

If the liner locks stay tough for you, I want the 1st one. dibs. Then I'll take the 1st frame lock. Dibs there too.

    Talking stop the presses!

Hey wait a minute bro-shot! This was my thread!....My call on the friction folder #1! I'll let you have the linerlock and I'll get the framelock.....

    LOL...perhaps a compromise.........

Maybe well split it bruva....... hmmmm....two frictions two framelocks stamped #1/2..

All joking aside and however it goes down....I'm glad you are moving up to folders Jonathan...I think they will be special.

Edit: JM....You should number and stamp the first couple of folders by the way....That would make me just happy....

I do not care for folders and you guys can have all of them. That leaves me more fixed blades to buy.I have been carrying a camp knife he built for me as a edc and is the best knife I have ever own.I am glad your knives are selling well,I was hoping the word would not get out about your quality of work but that is to late HAHA.
    Thanks,
    Michael

+1. Congrats on branching out and selling well. You deserve it. Frictions are yours Roofless. I do like the #1/2 on the liner and frame locks though.

A recurve blade profile??? On an already great neck knife design?? Man...may have to start saving again! And I must say...I do not own any custom folders...and a McNess folder does sound really cool!

Thanks for all the interest guys! We'll work something out with some numbered runs when the time comes. I expect to hit some snags, so it will likely be slow. I did order some more drill bits in the appropriate sizes today and I got the package with the pivots, so that's a start..

    WIP it is then..
Snapped a couple of crappy pics of the bench today. Got two choppers ready for handles, all the ones in the other pic are ht tx'd and at various stages. The folder blade is in there, it looks like a friction folder but that tail is just temporary to hold onto while grinding.
The liner that's getting tapped is soaking in acid because some dumbass broke a tap off in it! Hopefully it will be ready to try again tomorrow...
    Thanks for looking!

The folder blade is already heat tx? That's some nice progress. Now all we need is a video grinding that blade on your brand spankin new grinder!....
