Im trying to figure out how far I should sight in my rifle
I have a colt ar15 Hbar
My current set up it with an acog on the flat top upper.
I have become interested in shooting further distances with higher magnification, however I have little experience with this.
Recently, I put on a magpul precision adjustable stock and this scope that my father has had laying around unused for awhile now. This scope has a variable zoom from 3x to 10x magnification.
So my question is if there is any standard distance that most people sight in a scope for .223?
and if anyone knows some of the ballistics associate with it? such as when the bullet goes past the initial zero, what distance will it then return to zero? Also, how high does the bullet reach at its peak between the two zeros?
I've looked around online trying to do some research but really haven't found anything yet that is straight forward in its explanation.
