Sorry to here about your loss. I don't recommend getting the nasal. The nasal spray contains the live virus make your chances of getting sick far more than the shot. After the spray I was sick within 3 days!

Condolences, but I don't think the message here is to get a flu shot. If you read those over the counter meds, they usually have something that says if your conditions last over X amount of days, go see a doctor. I've yet to see one where X equals anywhere near two months.
If I had a weak immune system, I'd consider getting a flu shot, but I don't, so no flu shot for me.
My condolences, Poolshark. I've been getting the 'flu' shot since about 2005 when 2 of the women I worked with dragged my ass to CVS and we all got the shot. Pretty much been getting it every year since except that year when they had the short supply. Nowadays looks like every doctor I see has a sign up... "We have the flu vaccine!" I don't really see that many people lining up for the shot though. I think it's been about 2 years since I had a 'pneumonia' shot but that's supposed to be good for 5 years. At least I'm not getting as many shots as my dog!
It’s taken 9 different dogs and 65 long years to makeme the gentle, patient, mellow man that I am today.Don’t be fuckin’with me and piss me the fuck off!
Condolences to you and his family and friends.
I turned 60 this year got a flu shot and was sick for 2 months afterwards. I am not sure I would get another one.
Poolshark man, I'm sorry to hear about your friend man.
These times are never easy.
Take care my friend.

Sorry for your loss. That is a tough one to take.
Flu shot. NEVER.
They never get it right in their annual predictions. My immune system is healthy enough on its own (touch wood). The H1N1 is now H2N2/H2N3 and guess what, there is no shot for it. Even Mrs RNST fights getting it. She is a RN at a local hospital and they are very aggressive in their requests for all health care providers to have the shot.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I get one every year .
I got the flu last week, and FUCKING HARD. Thankfully I passed through it without needing a shot. I hate needles with a passion.
Too bad about your buddy poolshark. My best wishes to his family and close friends.
I never knew a flu shot was so fucking a big deal. I work with kids who have terrible hygiene, including one who regularly sneezes and spits on me. (Fuck me) Three kids at home and a pregnant wife. I need to be as protected as I can.

My wife is a PICU nurse and she is mandated to get one every year by the hospital she works for. She would not get one otherwise.
Wow , what a sad story. I'm sorry that your friend passed.
Drink your OJ and take vitamins folks , WASH YOUR HANDS as often as needed.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people do not practice common sense hygiene. Touch a doorknob at the Denny's bathroom then come back and eat like it's all good ?
