I just bought a hunting knife made from Tamahagane. It has a 4.5 inch blade and is one of the sharpest knives I have ever own. I have not got a chance to use it yet, but I'm sure I will later in the year. The handle is very comfortable and feels very solid in the hand. The leather sheath is very well made, tough and holds the knife very secure. I bought it new from a JD member who needed to sell it. If anyone does not know about Tamahagane steel and how its made I would encourge you to read up. It is very rare steel. To have a knife of solid Tamahagane is something very rare and special. When any of Master Chen's blades become available, I would get them while you can. You will not be disappointed!! The blade is polished it just does not show in the pics.

I'll have one in about a week or two if that counts. Guess I can't post feedback until it's in my hands but count me in on this one if it happens.
i am glad you enjoyed it.
here is a photo of one with a different wood. it was bought by a man in Germany.
he saw your knife and wanted one like it.

They don't call me the Hambuger because I smell like one.
I own a Zubeng... Amongst a lot of knives, this is hands down one, if not the sharpest knives, I own. The steel and grind is amazing.
I have not used it to hunt with, so I cannot comment on hunting tasks, but I am used it for all sorts of other things. It takes a wonderful patina and really keeps an edge.
Ron,
Here's another one for you. I just picked this one up here, from Bobby.
WOW is all I can say. Oh, and sharp!
Thanks,
Anthony
