WIP thread for Soup Monger and Marcus Wynne

so Marcus wanted a gut shovel (also known as the Street Badger) and I figured I would do a WIP on it

I haven't done a WIP in awhile so I thought it was about time

the pattern is put on a bar of steel that has been coated with Dykem

a scribe is used to out line the pattern

that's as far as I got because I broke the only bandsaw blade I had

if you can't crawl, you find somebody to carry you.

Sgian Dubh for Soup Monger WIP

what's better than 1 WIP thread? How about 2 at the same time?

Soup Monger wanted a Sgian Dubh T with rounded handles (instead of textured) of black G-10 and a red liner

I hate vulcanized rubber liners so I talked with Martin Olexey and found out where he gets his thin G-10 liners so I'm gonna go that route

so we start with laying down the pattern and scribing around it

and just like the other WIP, that's as far as I got due to my bandsaw

    more to follow

When you can't run anymore, you crawl

if you can't crawl, you find somebody to carry you.

I'll be watching the progress reports. Will this be worn with your kilt, Soup?
