Benelli M1A Super90 Entry gun... :semper:
Good choice Sheldon! Having bought one of these and 2x M4's, I can promise you the quality will be remembered long after the cost is forgotten. They'll hold value really well too...I paid $850 for my M1 S90 back in to 1993. There's a reason Benelli is the most used shotgun in shooting competitions throughout the world. And of course, the Marine Corps selected the M3, and then the M4 for their combat shotguns. This is not to say there aren't some other damn fine weapons out there, but you'll never go wrong buying one of these.

I had forgotten about this thread until it was resurrected.

I have since acquired a converted Saiga 12, FNH Police Tactical 12 Pump and Mossberg 930 SPX.

I have nothing but good things to say about my SPX. It shoots any kind of ammo.

The FNH is a redesign of the Winchester 1300. Solid pump shotgun.

the Saiga just brings smiles to my eyes. It's fun as can fun can be.

Was testing the Guardian 12 gauge tactical pump shotgun today , WOW was not happy!! .. canted sights , had loading issues , and feeding issue .. FOR A PUMP!!! INSANE!!

I thought all pumps were reliable. I guess they're not.

    ah yes shotties

I like all of mine. Pump, auto, and break open actions. My two favorite pumpers are my High Standard 18.25" barrel marked Riot guns. My new favorite auto is the Benelli M1 Super 90 closely followed by the Saiga 12 with 20 round drum.

Variety however is the spice of life, here is what I have for shotguns:

Saiga 12, Saiga 410, Stoeger double barrel 410 coach gun, Ithaca Flues double barrel 12 gauge, 870 Marine Magnum, 870 with folding stock and pistol grip, the two High Standards, Browning BPS 12, Savage 242 series C 410, WWII Remington made Browning A5 20 gauge, an HK FP6 12 gauge pump, and the Benelli M1.
Some of us has decided to add your name to the list of never sell to; we suggest you step back from your keyboard and take a 1-2 year break fro the internet.

    That's it?

    +1 on the 930 SPX.

Old thread but I could not resist

Remington 870 Police Magnum - not to be confused with the 870 Express - 12g is a great home defense platform - with proper training possibly the best. Therein lies the rub. Think of the 1000's of rounds devoted to handgun or M4 expertise. Replicating this type of training philosophy with a 12g is difficult. Seek the knowledge of a pro. Remember the 12g mantra - If you're not shooting, you're loading.

    For what its worth -

I'm actually rather tempted by some of the side-by-side coach guns floating around. Not as practical a defensive arm, but darn if they don't look like fun. Bonus for exposed hammers!
