Effectively, the knife I want from Emerson, is not a knife they produce, but could (possibly) be parted together from knife components they do produce. What I want is a right handed, plain edge CQC-7 HD Combo (titanium framelock backside, standard G-10 frontside) without the wave on the black blade and the chisel grind on the right hand side of the knife. I could make it (possibly) by mixing and matching a couple of CQC-7s assuming the blade bases are identical on their liner lock and frame lock knives as well as on their right handed and left handed knives (handle off a right handed CQC-7SFS HD plus the blade off a left handed CQC-7B BT), but rather than spend the coin to do that and hope it would work I could just buy another Strider and have what I want. Will Emerson accept "custom" orders? Even if so, the Strider may still be the more cost-effective route. What say you?
