You bastard! I started a thread about this a week a go, calling you out to see if you were going so we could get the CA devilz to meet up....

I attended the show yesterday. Picked up a nice custom EDC from Jim English. It's my first tanto. (I'm not a huge fan of tantos, but I figured I needed to have at least one in my collection. And Jim's knife feels perfect in the hand.) Here's a pic:
Specs:
Steel: 440C
Overall Length: 8-3/4"
Blade Length (Tip to Scale): 4-1/4"
Blade Thickness: .190"
Handle Material: Micarta
Sheath: Black Leather, Ambidextrous
Spent some time talking to D'Holder, Dennis Cook and Pat McNinch. All in all, a very nice show.

I went to a Marble show in Fullerton first so I wasn't sure when I would get to the Blade Expo.....
I wrote down the URL at every maker's table after I took pictures, so most of them will get a reminder to visit JD after you hit them also.....
Jim English made the first custom knife in my collection. I really like his work.....

The Members in Southern CA, should make a point of joining SC Blades. The membership is cheap & you will be able to attend the Expo for free.....
You will be supporting a great club, that way, also.....

I would first like to apologize to the makers, & to the members of JD, I went to a marble show, before the knife show, and I had my camera set to take macro shots, to better focus close-up on the art glass. I forgot to set the camera back to normal focus, so most of these pictures are fuzzy.....
I hope other members got better results, & post them here, also.....

Last, but not least, is a metal sculpture, created by Max Berger, this was created by removing massive amounts of metal from a huge piece of stock, approx 12" x 12" x 12".....
It is called "The Chalice".

He is currently working on another piece that will be created from an even bigger piece of metal, I am looking forward to seeing it in its final form, a woman with blade fingers.....
