Well.. here we find ourselves from all walks of life with one common love... blades.
I have been a knife fanatic since I can remember. When I was little, my father nicknamed me blade… and how appropriate. I have been involved in martial arts since I was 3 years old and developed a talent with all sorts of weapons. I have a very large collection of authentic samurai as well as other sharp edge things
I have had two loves stolen from me in my lifetime… 1st was a benchmade bali with titanium handles.. stolen from my vehicle when I was 17. The other… my grandfathers WWII Sykes-Fairbairn stiletto issued to him after the battle of the bulge. He was a captain and his name and rank was ornamentally put on the length of the dagger “Captain William Hanning”. A sample of the stiletto can be seen here> http://www.gundersonmilitaria.com/knifesykesexc.jpg
I truly hope one day to be reunited with this as it is part of my family heritage, part of history and bears my grandfathers, my fathers and my name.
Thanks for sharing the love of edged things.. I have found somewhere that I truly belong.
