Paypal problems?

I received 2 payments today, and sent one out, and no e-mail notifications. I bought a Lancay M11 last week and I wondered why the seller e-mailed me for my address, now I know. In the past, Paypal always instantly notified me when I made or received a payment. The problem with the 2 payments that I got today is that I use the PP e-mail to get the buyer's address. Is this a new problem, or has it been going on for a while and just hasn't affected me?

I checked PP's help page, those assholes have a disclaimer saying that I may or may not get a confirmation e-mail and if I do get it, it may be hours or days after the transaction. Dicks. I should at least get an e-mail for the 2.9% they charge me.

I always had received a payment conformation email. Last week I made a purchase and did not receive an email. I figured I screwed up, but I got an email from the seller thanking me. Two days later I get three messages in a row from paypal all stating the same thing.

I paid this guy last week and got a email two days later on the second payment to him. We saw the information at paypal but no emails. He said that it was a common anymore. Paypal sucks, sucks and sucks harder if you ask me. They charged my account because they overcharged this guys credit card. I got stuck with the original ammount, fees twice and $10.00 because they can. Fuck paypal!

I think its holiday slowdown, me too, but I get them out of order too...

did anyone get $8 in that paypal class action thingie?

I think paypal was so awesome for buyers until that mess...

I do not do buismess without a brick and morter address and an 800#.
I have never used paypal and never will.

I have never had a problem, over 200 ebay feedbacks, both buying and selling, NEVER a problem. This xmas shopping season I did not go in to one single retail store...I have finished shopping pretty much too...although I try to use my amex blue for online since they guarantee no fraud, but most CC do it too...

I guess you could spend time looking online for brick and mortar...at least youll have a building to set fire too when the dont ship your shit, but its all about dollars when shopping online IMO, whatever is the cheapest...I guess I like a phone # too, but why pay the rent on some building when buying something, you know...again, the arson, I guess

Really, when I see that a place online takes paypal, like countycomm, I feel really safe buying, thats where I got my GSAR...Paypal has changed, used to be if a seller couldnt prove with a trackingnumber that a package had been shipped their bank account would be frozen until everything was worked out, course they got in trouble for it, I dont know how it is anymore, but you can also see how many other verified buyers have paid the seller. I even got a paypal debit card so when someone pays me I can just run to the ATM and withdraw as cash...:ronwow:
